Submission Guidelines for TrubuPRESS

Please note that the open submission period for TrubuPRESS is from January 1st to February 28th.  Only self publishing through TrubuDOORS inquiries will be reviewed throughout the year but depending on how many projects we already have or if your contact presentation did not get our interest, we do not guarantee a response to your inquiry.

TrubuPRESS is a royalty offering publisher, however we also offer vanity press services for self publishers under our TrubuDOORS Imprint. You do not need an agent to submit. You should first contact us through this site where we will give you further instructions to submit a query letter that should include word count,  facts about yourself as a writer, the intended audience for your book, whether your book it is completed, and any previous publishing experience. Also include an overview of your story that tells us about the plot and the characters, and include  the first three chapters only. Please do not send your complete manuscripts unless it is requested.

If we request a complete manuscript you will be given a unique email address to use for communication with us. Manuscripts should be sent as a Microsoft Word or Open Office Document and should be  double-spaced with the page number, author’s name and title in the header.  Name, address, phone number and e-mail of the author should be on the first page of the manuscript.

The review process can take between 3 and 6 months after your first contact with us and up to another 6 months to evaluate your manuscript depending on how many other projects we are working on. Please do not call us about the status of your submission. You will be notified by email as soon as your work has been reviewed.
